Biodegradable PET Food Packaging

Introducing our new GREEN product line of BioPAK® PET containers – a Biodegradable Plastic Environmental Solution.

BioPAK® containers are made from a proprietary PET material with an additive engineered to accelerate microbial breakdown in an anaerobic landfill environment. When deposited into the landfill, colonies of microbes are able to attach and metabolize the plastic as a result of the additive. The material is completely neutralized into biomass.

• Made with PET material; the world’s most recycled plastic
• Organic additive in the material allows naturally occurring organisms to penetrate into the plastic material
• 100% Recyclable through standard recycling systems – no sorting necessary
• Does not contaminate recycling stream like other starch-based materials (PLA)
• Material is naturally transparent (less than 10% haze) and available in custom colors
• BioPAK® containers are available in Panoramic’s stock food container line or as custom food, retail or industrial packaging.

Degradability – Degrading is activated in the presence of naturally occurring organisms found in aerobic and anaerobic environments (landfill, compost or litter).

Shelf life – Infinite shelf life in warehouse environments, store shelves, trucks or containers, or in the presence of light, heat, water, humidity or mechanical stress.

Disposal route – Recyclable through existing PET recycling programs or biodegradable in standard landfill environments.
