What is Sustainable Packaging? Sustainable Packaging is packaging specifically engineered to be easy on the environment, throughout its life-cycle. With Sustainable Packaging, special consideration is given to the utilization of strict guidelines regarding the sourcing, production, material composition, and ease with which the product can be recycled.
With the introduction of our BioPAK™ PET containers to the marketplace we demonstrated our commitment to advancing the cause of Sustainable Packaging while also proving that quality and low cost need not be sacrificed to achieve an eco-friendly packaging alternative.
Our BioPAK™ containers are fabricated using proprietary PET material in conjunction with organic additives specifically engineered to accelerate the process of microbial breakdown within an anaerobic landfill environment. This means that when one of our BioPAK™ containers is introduced into the landfill, colonies of microbes are able to attach and metabolize the plastic. The material is completely neutralized into biomass, unlike other starch-based materials (PLA). That means there is no adverse contaminate realized in the recycling stream.
